The Butterflies

Deep within Naaru stood an ancient ruin Taara visited when she wanted to be alone, overgrown with flowers and vines and slowly being reclaimed by the forest. It was there that she first noticed the butterflies.

At first, there were only a few.

Eventually, they began following her.

They became attached to her and started reacting to her emotions, and they are her closest connection to the small creatures she loved so much — the fireflies, butterflies and other insects she had always found more practical and calm than her peers.

Since

They followed her out of Ether when she crossed the barrier, clinging close to her wings, and they have been with her ever since. One of them is no longer ordinary: the vampire butterfly bonded to Logi's tooth in session 15, thumbnail-sized and permanent, whose emotions she also feels.
