The toymaker of Vallaki, at Blinsky Toys down a side street — a wooden sign shaped like a rocking horse, dirty glass, and a placard reading "Is No Fun, Is No Blinsky!"

Heavyset, in a moth-eaten jester's cap worn out of habit rather than performance. He has not had a real paying customer in months except a traveller named Rictavio, who bought a stuffed Vistana doll and left him a pet monkey, Piccolo, as a companion. Piccolo wears a custom ballerina tutu and fetches toys from high shelves.
