Vess's guardian, a relative, and the soft original self she carried inward before Barovia.

The Pendant of Nyss carries her essence. When Strahd asked Vess what the pendant meant to her, she had no answer, and in that absence handed it over.

Part of Corvin's soul was held in the same pendant until session 21.
