Brother Aldric

What Happened

Brother Aldric entered Barovia fifty years ago to bring the Morninglord's light to a forsaken land. Morgantha caught him. His body is long dead. His spirit has been bound to an iron chair by a collar of blackened iron ever since — aware, fractured, and listening to the vault for five decades.

When the party found him in session 13, he offered to tell them everything in exchange for something warm to hold. He took their hands. He did not explain the exchange. He took:

• From Vess: The memories of Nyss. The memories of her friendship with Myra.
• From Logi: His grandmother's final words.
• From Myra: The memory of being a werewolf.

He seemed almost peaceful afterward. He gave them what they asked. He is still in the chair.
