Human blood hunter, played by Pinkie255. Carries Otis Drake's green flame sword and signet ring, marking him heir to his adoptive father's legacy.

Strahd lifted the Greater Illusion that had made him and Mark strangers in Vallaki — they were in the same party before this one, neighbours who did not know they were anything to each other. His former party is dead, kept in the castle, and he drank from one of them at dinner before he understood what he was drinking.

Yager is a human blood hunter, weathered and grim. His skin is light and weather-worn. His dark-blond hair is long and unkempt, falling past his jaw; he wears a short rough beard. His face is lined and shadowed, the stare downcast and heavy — a man who has already buried one party and knows it.

He dresses for the hunt, not for company: a deep red shirt under crossed leather baldrics and heavy belts, every strap hung with the tools of the trade — glass vials, wooden stakes, pouches, scroll cases, a sigil-stamped medallion at the chest. Bracers and reinforced gloves cover his forearms. Everything on him is worn, functional, and within reach.

Not shown in the art but always with him: the green flame sword inherited from Otis Drake — a blade wreathed in green fire when drawn — and Otis's signet ring on his hand.
