Strahd von Zarovich

Count of Barovia, vampire, and the author of most of what has happened to this party. He does not demand things he can simply receive.

What he has done to the party

• Myra — he arranged Kyra's capture at Ironwake and sent Myra the letter knowing she would come looking.
• Taara — he has restored the happy half of her marriage to him and taken her memory of the party being trustworthy. At the session 26 breakfast he wrote the events into a book and partly rewrote Taara, Mark and Yager into the version where Logi and Mark killed Vess.
• Corvin — he took the Pendant of Nyss in session 14, held the soul inside it, and returned it to the armour during the werewolf night. Corvin used that one whole moment to stop.
• Yager and Mark — he lifted the Greater Illusion that had made them strangers to each other in Vallaki. He also destroyed Yager's previous party and kept their remains in the castle.
• Khione — he granted her permanent ten-foot sight in session 24. She was born blind.
• Logi — a blood contract, one service, discharged on both sides by session 25. The forced confession it bought still binds. In the library he took credit for the whole Ashenwood fight and told Logi the fire is the titan's own flame, taken rather than put out, and that where that fire burns his hand can reach.
• Pipwick — cursed in a vision in the Svalich Woods in session 7, banished from every forest in the land. The price implied was never paid and Strahd does not forget private conversations.

Standing

He has been buying memories from Morgantha for centuries. At the breakfast that closed session 26 he stated he wants to travel his lands with the party. No answer was given.
